"Thriving skills can make all the difference."

Young people are everything. They matter. Their future (and ours) depends on their ability to thrive.
When students know they are valued, they are capable of handling things, and how to turn up the dials on their strengths, everything becomes possible. That's the thrill of thriving.
There's nothing more important we can do than give students the skills to thrive.
Three core values drive my leadership in this program:
- Everyone has the ability to thrive – despite limitations or circumstances
- How you think is how you thrive.
- The measure of life is how you feel.
When students increase their Thrivability,
they experience the extraordinary and flourish.

A Rewarding
Business Career
I’ve enjoyed a vibrant business career working beside business legends that include Dave Thomas - founder of Wendy’s, Bob Farrell of Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor Restaurants, Donald Miller – founder of StoryBrand and Business Made Simple, and Ray Edwards - legendary copywriter, communications strategist and coach.
From corporate marketing and advertising account management to non-profit leadership and business consulting, my greatest joy has been supporting entrepreneurs on their business growth journeys – from concepts to established brands.
Now I apply my experience and expertise to my own innovative brand Thrivable You.
A Decade of Youth Leadership
One of my greatest privileges was serving students in music leadership. Two tours each year, teaching and inspiring through song, logistics galore -- it was a treasured time. Young people are filled with abundant hope, natural creativity, and honest desire to make the world a better place.
So many stories... so many powerful moments... so many precious mentoring relationships.

Adversity Leads to Inspiration
Very suddenly, in the peak of mid-life, I developed a debilitating disease. Though not life-threatening, the illness took me out of everyday life—my consulting business, my part-time role in music, and my treasured roles as wife and mother. I lived in near isolation for more than four years -- long before everyone became familiar with isolation during the pandemic. My husband managed everything – our household, his career, and our children who were active in elementary, middle, and high schools.
Longing to positively influence my health, I discovered positive psychology – the science of human thriving. I took part in proven interventions to engage my thriving pathways. I reconnected with my unique expressions of joy and uncovered my power to influence how I felt. I could have a say in my response to my limitations, and I could enhance my wellbeing – even in the face of tremendous suffering. The empowerment felt miraculous!
I was inspired to help others learn to choose their responses to adversity, to manage their thinking, and to generate more of what’s good in life – no matter their limitations or circumstances.
In my recovery, I became certified in Applied Positive Psychology and began training others in resilience, progress, and wellbeing.

In My Spare Time
Thrivability is a continuous process. After years of living in limitation, being in progress once again feels amazing. It is the thrill of thriving.
I hold immense gratitude for this season I wasn't sure I would have.
When I’m not strategizing with entrepreneurs or writing content to help people thrive, you’ll likely find me…
...devouring the latest science of human thriving.
...trying to make sense of the news.
...immersing myself in various genres of music (with headphones on, at the piano, singing at the top of my lungs, or all of the above).
...relearning to express the dancer within me.
…connecting deeply with others (including any dogs I meet).
…exploring the scenic mountains, oceans, and blossoms nearby.
My treasured pastime is laughing with my husband and three adult sons, the greatest blessings I’ve been given.
